BACKGROUND AND VISION. Heathland occurs in Sedgemoor District in the Quantock Hills and also on the Mendip Hills. As the Quantock Hills will have its own Local Biodiversity Action Plan covering land within the AONB, Heathland which is the target of the HAP occurs entirely within the Mendip Hills AONB.
